The NV-FS2 is a premium grade multi-purpose fan set that is ideal for adding extra cooling to electronic devices such as A/V receivers, DVRs, video game consoles, stereo equipment, routers or storage solutions – literally any equipment that has ventilation holes at the bottom, at the top or at the side. Additionally, the NV-FS2 can also be used as a simple side-ways blowing desk fan. At the heart of the set, the award-winning NF-A12x25 PWM fan combines outstanding airflow performance with excellent quietness of operation. The pre-installed NV-MPG1 multi-purpose gasket and NV-MPP1 pads not only dampen vibrations but also make it possible to achieve a tight seal in top-exhaust applications and give the fan breathing space when it is placed underneath devices. At the same time, they enable the fan to be placed blowing sideways on level surfaces. Thanks to the included NA-FC1 controller, the fan speed can be adjusted from strong ventilation all the way to near-silent operation. An NA-FG1 fan-grill is pre-installed for extra protection. For powering and connecting the fan, the set includes Noctua’s NV-PS1 230/115V high quality universal power supply as well as an NV-EC4 1m extension cable that can be installed before or after the controller depending on individual preferences. In sum, the NV-FS2 is a comprehensive premium package for adding extra cooling to a wide range of electronic devices as well as for various other ventilation tasks such as increasing convection from radiators or heaters.

NV-MPG1 gasket and NV-MPP1 pads
The NV-FS2 fan set comes with both the NV-MPG1 gasket and NV-MPP1 pads pre-installed. In combination, they turn the NF-A12x25 into a highly versatile multi-purpose fan that’s ideal for various device cooling applications: Blowing in cool air from the bottom or the side, exhausting hot air from the top, almost anything is possible!

Tight seal for maximum efficiency
The NV-MPG1 not only prevents the transmission of vibrations, but also acts as a gasket that creates a tighter seal between the fan and the device it’s placed on. Reducing leak flows between the fan and the device, the NV-MPG1 thereby ensures maximum ventilation efficiency.

Offset gasket for optimal exhaust performance and acoustics
When a fan is placed on top of a device exhausting air, drawing air through the device’s ventilation holes may create unpleasant turbulence noises and reduce the fan’s efficiency. By introducing a 10mm offset between the fan and the device, the NV-MPG1 can reduce influx turbulences significantly, thereby improving both airflow performance and running smoothness.

Offset pads for installing fans underneath devices
When installing fans underneath devices, it is crucial that the fan can draw in sufficient air. The NV-MPP1 introduce an offset of 10mm between the fan and the base surface, which allows the fan to draw in plenty of air from the sides in order to achieve optimal cooling performance.

Anti-vibration design
Made from thick, soft silicone rubber and featuring thin ribs on the device side, which create a smaller contact area and therefore further reduce the transmission of vibrations, the NV-MPG1 gasket and NV-MPP1 pads have been designed to suppress vibrations from the ground up.

Stepless PWM fan controller
For convenient stepless speed control, the NV-FS2 includes Noctua’s popular NA-FC1. This small but powerful fan controller with status LEDs makes it possible to adjust the fan from maximum airflow performance all the way to near-inaudible operation. It can also stop the fan completely.

High-quality 230/115V power supply
Thanks to the included NV-PS1 power supply, the NV-FS2 set can be powered directly from the mains. The NV-PS1 is a compact, premium grade 24W AC/DC power supply that supports both 230V and 115V input and includes modular connectors for EU, US and UK type sockets. With an idle power consumption of only 0.075W, it’s perfect for applications that require maximum efficiency.

Flexible cabling
In addition to the 135cm cable of the NV-PS1 power supply, the 30cm long NA-AC10 adaptor for fan connection and the fan’s 20cm primary cable, the NV-FS2 set includes an NV-EC4 1m extension cable that increases the total reach to 2.85m. The NA-FC1 controller can be placed before or after the extension cable for maximum flexibility.

Fully modular and expandable
Thanks to the modularity of Noctua’s HOME line product ecosystem, the NV-FS2 set can be easily expanded. For example, additional fans and fan mounts can be powered from the same power supply and controlled using the same NA-FC1 controller using splitter cables (NA-SYC1) or fan hubs (NA-FH1/NV-FH2). It’s also possible to add additional NA-SEC3 extension cables.

Protection and safety
For protection against accidental touch, the NV-FS2 set comes with an NA-FG1-12 fan grill pre-installed. The included NV-PS1 power supply is protected against overvoltage, overcurrent and short-circuits and both the power supply and the fan carry safety certification from UL and TÜV. Unlike many cheap fans and power supplies, they are fully CE/UKCA compliant and meet all applicable standards for EMC and safety.
