Shelly 2L Gen3 is a WiFi-controlled 2-channel relay that operates without a neutral wire, making it especially suitable for lighting control where no neutral is available behind the switch. Shelly 2L Gen3 features two built-in relays: - O1 (Output 1): 1.2A relay – primarily suitable for 230V incandescent light sources and LED lights without a transformer. - O2 (Output 2): 3A relay – can also be used for low-voltage lights, fluorescent tubes, and fans. Both relays can be controlled individually via a switch and the Shelly Smart Control app. The device is powered by 220-240V AC. Please note that the included bypass must be installed in parallel with the load, and a minimum load of 5W is required. However, the bypass is not needed when using fluorescent tubes. Shelly 2L Gen3 is easily set up and managed through the Shelly Smart Control app or your preferred smart home system. Shelly devices operate 100% locally and only require a local network to function. Shelly can be used standalone in the Shelly Smart Control app or integrated with more than 200 partner systems such as Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Home Assistant, Samsung SmartThings, Athom Homey, and many more. The device is also Matter certified. Local operation – no gateway required. All Shelly WiFi devices have a built-in web server, providing a wealth of features that always work, regardless of whether you have an active internet connection. No gateway is needed, so you can get started with just a single Shelly device. The built-in web server means Shelly has onboard memory and will remember sunrise, sunset, schedules, etc., even when the network is down. Relays and dimmers function as standard toggle relays and can therefore be used with your regular switches – even without internet. All inputs and outputs are fully programmable and only require local WiFi to communicate across devices. However, we still recommend having an active internet connection, as this opens up even more features. Connectivity. Shelly 2L Gen3 can connect to the internet or your local network via 2.4 GHz WiFi. Additionally, the device has built-in Bluetooth like the rest of the Pro and Plus series, allowing it to be used as a gateway for Shelly Bluetooth battery-powered devices. All Shelly devices work locally without a connection to Shelly Cloud, but it is recommended to activate this for easy data storage and increased functionality. The devices can also communicate via MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket. All support TLS.
