When an animal comes into contact with a high-voltage pad, it receives an unpleasant electric shock that immediately deters it. The contact pads then automatically recharge, and the device is ready for further use. An LED indicates that the repeller is functioning properly; it lights up while the ultrasonic signal is being emitted.
The waterproof control unit with an IP65 rating allows for operation even in the harsh conditions of the engine compartment.
