Die KE7000 sind kostengünstige Prüfgeräte für Patch-, LAN und Fernmeldeverkabelungen sowie mittels optionalem Adapter auch für Koaxialkabel.
Geprüft und verifiziert werden können ungeschirmte und geschirmte Verbindungskabel mit verdrillten Doppeladern (UTP- und STP-Kabel) in installierten Netzen sowie Patchkabel. Koaxialkabel mit BNC- und F-Buchse
können mittels des RJ45-Koax-Adapters auf Durchgang geprüft werden.
Dabei wird automatisch ein Gerät als Master und eines als Slave konfiguriert. Der Vorteil beim Einsatz zweier Hauptgeräte ist, dass an beiden
Seiten der Status der Tests abgelesen werden kann und Zeit gespart wird.
Mit einer Batterielaufzeit von bis zu 100 Stunden muss der Messeinsatz
nur selten unterbrochen werden.
Vorkommende Fehler wie Vertauschungen, Unterbrechungen, Kurzschlüsse und Schirmfehler werden auf den grafischen Displays der Geräte
angezeigt. Umständliches Mitschreiben von blinkenden und aufleuchtenden LEDs ist nicht notwendig. Die KE7000 liefern beidseitig eindeutige,
schnelle und sofort auswertbare Statusinformationen auf den LCD-Displays für Kabellängen bis ca. 150 m.
Sollte an den zu testenden Kabeln Fremdspannung anliegen, wird gewarnt und angezeigt, welche Polarität an welchen Pins liegt. Die Geräte sind dabei vor versehentlichem Kontakt mit Telefonie-Speisspannung
oder PoE (Power over Ethernet) bis zu 60 V geschützt.
Kurth Electronic‘s KE7000 are cost-effective test devices for patch, LAN
and telecommunication cabling and, with an optional adapter, also for coaxial cables. The KE7000 test and verify unshielded and shielded connection cables with twisted pairs (UTP and STP cables) in installed networks
or patch cables. BNC and F-socket coaxial cables can be tested for continuity using the optional RJ45 coax adapter. One device is automatically
configured as master and one as slave. The advantage of using two main
devices is that the status of the tests can be read on both sides. This leads
to a real time saving. With a battery life of up to 100 hours, the measuring
operation rarely needs to be interrupted.
Occurring errors such as mix-ups, interruptions, short circuits and screen
errors are shown on the displays. It is not necessary to take notes of blinking and flashing LEDs. The KE7000 provide clear, fast and immediately
evaluable status information on both ends on the LCD displays for cable
lengths up to approx. 150 m.
If external voltage is applied to the cables to be tested, the KE7000 warn
the user and indicate which polarity is connected to which pins. The devices are protected against overvoltage up to 60 V.
