Multi-function, scaling AV Distribution System with PoC
Multi-function AV Distribution System - Wallplate system feat. EU hole pattern The PT-PK100 is a multi-function AV distribution system designed to provide HDMI / VGA video switching, system control, video extension and analog audio amplification in a convenient kit. Utilizing the Valens Colligo series chipsets, power, control, video (up to 1080p) and audio are transported over a single 30m Cat / Ethernet cable between the wall plate transmitter and the receiver. The wallplate control module connects to the wall plate transmitter with a second cable. All the power needed for the system is provided by the receiver and distributed via PoC. Additionally, the receiver features a built-in web GUI for control and analog audio de-embedding to a built-in 2x20 watt stereo amplifier.
This kit consists of HDBaseT wallplate transmitter (PT-PK100-TXWP) incl. scaler, wallplate control panel (PT-PK100-BCWP) and stand-alone receiver (PT-PK100-RX).

The HDBaseT Kit PT-PK100 included in PureLinks PureTools series is designed to be used in educational contexts like presentations and/or conferences and consist of a wallplate HDBaseT Transmitter (Tx) for switchable HDMI and VGA inputs, a stand-alone HDBaseT Receiver (Rx) and wallplate Control Panel. The PT-PK100 transmitting wallplate provides two signal inputs - one VGA and one HDMI supporting HDCP 1.4, between which you can switch as needed. It transmits A/V signals via a Cat.5e / Cat.6a cable to the receiver module (Rx) in a maximum distance of up to 30m at up to FullHD / 1080p 1920x1200 @60Hz.
The kit is an easy-to-use control device for show rooms, classrooms and boardrooms, making it a good application for educational systems.
It is designed for solving some difficult issues, such as the teacher not being able to freely switch signal sources and annotate some important things on a whiteboard in class. It also features four physical buttons used to replace four common functions of the remote control in use to control far-end devices, such as a projector.
The system supports front panel button control as well as web-based GUI control.
Power-over-Cable (PoC)
Its integrated PoC solution allows several terminals to share the same power supply and eliminates the need for extra power supplies at the remote nodes thus providing power for remote devices via the Cat cable.
Simply connect the DC adapter to the Rx receiver and the transmitter as well as control wallplate will be energized synchronously via PoC.
USB "Signal Return"
The USB socket on the receiver (FROM TOUCH SCREEN) can connect to a whiteboard with touch controls.
When a user makes notes on the smart board the PT-PK100 receiver will receive this control signal via USB cable and send it back to HDMI signal source (PC).
- Connect to a Smart Board with embedded touch screen, and send USB signal back to signal source or - Connect to an interactive projector, e. g. for handwriting annotations (no sync to PC)
RS232 control
The PT-PK100 provides an RS232 interface to connect with a projector and then control it by sending RS232 commands via web-based GUI.
Infrared control
The built-in IR sensor of the receiver provides an IR OUT port for IR emitters to control remotely located devices from the receiving end.
In this example for educational systems, simply put the IR remote of your projector close to the IR sensor of the wallplate control panel and put the corresponding IR Emitter close to the remote projector.
This way, the projector can be controlled using your IR remote based on the IR passthrough function.
IR Learning Function
IR learning allows users to use the buttons of the wallplate control panel to be directly mapped to some keys of the IR remote in use to control the respective device.
The "signal source" buttons are not mappable.
Web-based GUI control
As an addition to the physical button control, USB control, RS232 control and IR control the PT-PK100 can be controlled using a web-based GUI control. It allows users to interact with the PK100 using simple graphical icons and visual indicators.
Connect the TCP/IP port of the PT-PK100 to the Ethernet port of your PC using a twisted-pair cable and then match the the Ethernet adaptors configuration to control the whole system via a normal web-browser.
Microphone input mode switch:
When the switch turns to "MIC", the microphone input is used for connecting with dynamic microphone.
When the switch turns to "LINE", the microphone input is used for connecting with normal audio or wireless microphone output.
For both input types there are two different connections: 1. Unbalanced connection: "-" connects to ground, and "-" connects to signal 2. Balanced connection: "+" connects to positive, "-" connects to negative and "-" connects to ground
Save and load configuration data
The system's IR and/or RS232 configuration can be copied to a USB flash drive (<4GB, FAT32) and loaded into additional systems or be saved as a backup.
LED indicators:
1. HDBT Link status indicator: OFF = No Link GREEN = Link successful Blinking GREEN = Link abnormal
2. HDCP compliance indicator: OFF = No HDMI traffic (no picture) GREEN = Traffic with HDCP Blinking GREEN = Traffic without HDCP
