They also have a SmartSlot interface for the integration into SNMP-based network management. With the VI-UPS the DC/AC inverter is permanently connected to the output of the UPS system. During regular operations the charging current for the battery flows via the inverter. If the AC voltage fails, the battery takes on the supply of any connected consumers. Due to the constant connection of the inverter to the output the line interactive technology, on which the VI class is based, is able to filter out any mains power faults.
